Our weekend Restaurant, Camilla’s at African Relish, provides Karoo country dining in a gentle, laid back style. The cosy eatery offers a simple menu that changes weekly. Camilla Comins is an Eat Out Restaurant Award-winner, a former Woollies product-developer and successful cookbook author. Her contemporary approach to classic recipes delivers inspirational dishes. Seasonal recipes focus on presenting dishes with ingredients gathered in the garden or sourced as locally as possible.

The Swartberg Arms used to be on the veranda of the Swartberg Hotel in Church Street. Chris and his team have now moved to Die Windpomp at the show grounds and the old favorites are still on the menu.
Try the thin crust pizzas, the calamari, the ribs, the burgers, the steaks – in fact, everything on the menu is good. Chris oversees his own kitchen and is the man behind the griddle.

Our Sunday Karoo Lunch starts at 12h00. It comprises a choice of 3 courses (2 meat and 1 vegetarian) plus a dessert for R180.00 per person. Bread and vegetables are included.
Seasonal flavours of home-grown herbs, fruit and vegetables. Mediterranean influences. Restaurant rated by Dine 2006, 2007 as one of SA’s top 100 restaurants. We do not have a credit card facility. However, we do have a liquor licence, a corkage charge is made if you bring your own wine. The focus is on locally produced vegetables and free range birds, venison, and lamb.
Our price is R280.00 per person.
Hendry Olivier (Kokkedoor) has taken charge of running the Olive Branch. Our staff of the last 13 years are still with us and Bokkie’s role is now that of Italian (South African) grandfather and mentor. Bokkie has had to face up to the fact that more customers want to have their pictures taken with Hendry than he ever experienced!

We make a variety of cured meat products such as bacon, chorizo, salami, cured hams and fresh sausages amongst other delicious goods. We source responsibly reared meat from local producers.

We offer casual and very entertaining cooking classes for the novice as well as more advanced cooks.
Half-day or full day courses are available by request. We also offer longer more specialised courses which usually span over a weekend.

The Victoria Room at the Swartberg Hotel offers a romantic candle lit dinner with interesting Karoo fare from our a la carte menu. Open 7 days a week from 6 pm to 10 pm (kitchen closes at 9:30 pm).
