An art exhibition with a difference can be viewed as you wander round the streets of Prince Albert …we have works of art on our dustbins!
As Prince Albert prepared for its 250th anniversary year, one of our residents, John McKenna came up with a wonderful idea. He approached local artists and schools to convert oil drums into ‘works-of-art’, which do double duty as dustbins.
Some bins reflect the history of the buildings outside which they are situated, others highlight special features and aspects of our town, as seen through the eyes of our children and artists.
A handy guide to the bins is included in the app for Prince Albert.
