Prince Albert Beadkidz is a community project where a group of young people earn a small income by making and selling beaded items.
The flagship product of the group is the range known as “Prince Albert People”. These beaded fridge magnets depict the many people who make up our community – from grandmothers with babies on the hip, municipal workers and school girls to rock singers and ballet dancers.
Beaded windpompe are also a favourite with visitors who wish to take something of Prince Albert home.
The beaders work on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 pm – 5 pm at the Beadkidz container at the Cape Access Centre, Toegangspad, Rondomskrik, Prince Albert and visitors are welcome.
Beadkidz products are available at the Tourism Office, Lazy Lizard, the Swartberg Hotel Deli, O for Olive and every second Saturday at the local market.
