Journey to Jazz 2024 lifted off 1 May with a moving opening at the Kritikom Koppie Theatre. It was supremely special to have Professor Thuli Madonsela deliver wise and inspiring words during her keynote address.

After the opening, there must be jazz! The venues were packed, the musicians world class, the audiences mesmerized. Be sure not to miss the next Journey to Jazz 1 – 4 May 2025.

How we love Prince Albert Open Studios. The town once again was abuzz with creativity and talent and our visitors were awed by the variety of art forms on display. We even had someone ask if participating artists are chosen on personality as all are so welcoming and friendly – that folks, is how we role in Prince Albert.

Karen Zoid and Henry Steel recently brought the roof of The Showroom Theatre down with two incredible performances that had the audience rocking in their seats and in the aisles. The duo also took time out between concerts to give back to the community of Prince Albert with a super inspiring singing and songwriting masterclass. We are looking forward to the next musical talent to grace the Prince Albert stage.

The energetically colourful Riel Dancers of Prince Albert captured beautifully by Deon TerBlanche.
With fancy footwork, the Rieldans is considered one of the oldest dancing styles of indigenous South Africa and is an ancient celebratory dance of the San. We are proud that the youngsters of Prince Albert are keeping this tradition alive.
