September saw Journey to Jazz Prince Albert officially launched with fun, fanfare, and the super-talented jazz virtuoso, Kyle Shepherd.
We are so proud of what our beautiful town dished up, if this was the preview, the 3 – 7 May 2023 international festival will be off the charts.

Far be it from a small Karoo dorpie to miss Heritage Day on 24 September. Locals rallied together to show off their finest traditional fare from Bobotie, to Roosterkoek, to Braai, to Koeksisters.

Hope Warriors had fun on International Coffee Day tending to Prince Albert residents’ caffeine and sweet-tooth needs by offering door-to-door deliveries. Perhaps the start of town’s very own Mr. Delivery service?

Meet the newly introduced guardian angels protecting Wolwekraal Nature Reserve’s natural and cultural history. Jeffrey Grobelaar, Barend Botes, Petrus Stal, and Gert Swartz are the dedicated rangers keeping this area pristine and as untouched as possible for future generations to appreciate.

Hopefully the first of many pop-up restaurants made its debut at Gay’s Guernsey Dairy beginning October. A fabulous collaboration with Good to Gather chefs Jess and Luke at an awesome venue with incredible food, ‘yes please’ to more!

Prince Albert’s talented artists have been whittling away at their various crafts getting Open Studios ready. Don’t miss our next artsy weekend in Prince Albert 24 – 27 November 2022, opening their studios will be sculptors, ceramicists, calligraphers, painters, photographers, jewelers and more. A bit of something to suit every art palette (see what we did there).

15 October 2022 saw the start of the inaugural Prince George Monumental 100 miler, where 250 cyclists braved the scenic but strenuous 165km stretch from Prince Albert to George.
We look forward to welcoming all those crazy non-motorised two-wheelers back next year.

Diere en ander plesiere was the order of the day at the Prins Albert Skou, ‘n goeie ou plaaskuier with lekker Karoo gees.

We love birthdays in Prince Albert, especially 1st birthdays – Moeder Aarde Karoo Shop turned just that on 29 October. Happy birthday, and we look forward to celebrating many more together.
