Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT)

‘Where the elephants meet in Rondomskrik, the Hope Warriors have created an oasis, where young people feel safe, where they find room for their dreams and food for their souls. They call it the Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) Youth Centre, or sometimes simply the Hope Centre.

They brew coffee from Brazilian beans and serve it with Portuguese melk-tertjies and a big smile, while playing African Blues and producing Afrikaans Rap.

Deep in the Karoo, in an area so remote that stars make the night bright, the Hope Warriors Coffee Bar has become a place for cultures to meet, worlds to touch, for skills to develop and hopes to soar.’
