The Swartberg Pass ensured Prince Albert got to see in the new year with a riot of Watsonia colour. The fabulous live flower show was a wonder to behold, making us thankful once again to live in such a natural paradise.

For over two decades Prince Albert’s treasured Story Weaver, Ailsa Tudhope, has been regaling visitors and locals alike with the fascinating history of our beautiful town, as well as stories of the long-deceased quirky characters who still lurk behind old town walls.

Artist, Sonja Fourie, is the shop’s owner and curator; together with husband Johan they passionately source interesting trinkets to keep customers enthralled and coming back time and time again.

Sonja’s studio is at the entrance to the shop and makes for a great introduction to the further treasurers on offer as visitors delve further into the bygone era that is Moeder Aarde.

The community project that is Prince Albert Skills School assists youngsters who have fallen out of the formal schooling system but want to get their lives back on track.
